Julie Anne Bartlett in her studio with paintings and art materials

Julie Anne Bartlett

Hailing from the New England region in country New South Wales, Julie Anne Bartlett is a multi-disciplinary Australian artist, working primarily with oils and acrylic on new and reclaimed canvas from her home studio in Bathurst.

Throughout her 40-year career, Julie has produced and sold artworks and homewares in diverse mediums across sculpture, pottery, oil and acrylic painting, illustration, glassware, decoupage, and leadlight.

Throughout Julie's work, a consistent theme emerges - that of the great beauty in all creation, and its enduring message of hope.

This website features Julie's latest release of oil and acrylic paintings, alongside past works from her extensive catalogue of landscape, portraiture, florals and abstract pieces, all in her distinctive style and palette.

With the Australian landscape and its many mysteries, colours and stories as her inspiration, Julie's work draws from her and her ancestor's deep connection with the land, capturing glimpses of ancient myths, astrological phenomena, and the underlying learnings from our dreams.

Julie's considered use of layering and colour creates visceral and textural pathways into divine aspects of our existence - the landscape, universe, the human mind - inviting the viewer to touch and interact with each piece, and interpret it in their own way.
